Cards = immutable Greek spine. Drop between words to place, on the card to re-align.

Where a word lands

between two words — that exact position · on the card — re-align without touching the sentence · on a dashed supplied tile — peel it off the word beside it · on a dotted ⌁ functional tile — grammar the language requires rather than meaning the translator added · onto another word — merge into a phrase · the Unaligned tray — detach.

Selecting and adding

click to select (shift-click = multi) · drag the ⠿ grip to move a whole phrase · + adds an omitted word · hover between two cards for a + that adds a whole new card, function word or supplemental · ⇄ on a tile head switches a card between supplemental and function word.

Re-homing a supplied word

🔗 click the [gold] or ⌁ chip, then the original-language word it really belongs to, and take the offer. No dragging. It asks which other languages sharing that card should move too — also on right-click and the selection bar.

Keys

Shift+←/→ reorder · f flag · ? the full keyboard · ⚙ Debug records every click and drag with the exact change it made.

Reading the board

chip left-edge colour = confidence (heuristic until the pipeline supplies it) · ⚑ flagged concern · ✓ reviewed.

What is enforced

the reading line is held to the reconstruction invariant — a broken published line is blocked on export. Edits autosave to this browser.

Unaligned— drag words here to detach them from every column —

Moving words & keyboard

Where you drop decides what happens. Every word can go to any card, at any position:
  · between two words (the thin gap) — places it at exactly that position; this is a word-order edit, so the reading line changes and the badge will say so until the line matches the published text again
  · on the card itself — re-aligns it to that Greek word at the nearest position; if that is where its reading rank already puts it, the sentence is left untouched
  · onto another word — merges the two into one phrase (drag the ⠿ grip to move a phrase whole)
  · into the Unaligned tray — detaches it from every card
Adding a card with no original word behind it. Hover the space between two cards and a + appears. It asks which of the two kinds it is — a ⌁ function word (an article, linker or case particle the translated language's grammar requires) or a [ ] supplemental (meaning the translator added) — and then you type the word straight into the new card. It lands at exactly the position the gap stood for, on the leading or trailing tile of the card beside it. Right-click any word → ⊞ Insert a card before this word… is the same gesture from the keyboard or a touchscreen.
⚙ Debug in the toolbar records every click, drag and edit with the exact before→after change it made, and Copy puts the whole trace on the clipboard — paste it into a bug report.

← → move focus between chips · Space select/deselect · Enter/F2 edit · Esc cancel/clear
Alt+←/Alt+→ move token to prev/next card (re-align) · u unalign
Shift+←/Shift+→ reorder — move earlier/later in the reading order (changes ord). The thin insertion gaps between words are drop targets for the pointer only; Shift+←/Shift+→ is the keyboard way to change a word's position
Tab to a phrase's ⠿ grip, then Enter/Space selects the whole phrase — Alt+←/Alt+→ then moves it
m merge (selection, or focused+next) into a phrase · s split phrase · [ toggle supplemental · right-click → Mark as function word for grammar the translated language requires
a add a word the AI omitted (into the focused card) · f flag a concern · r mark reviewed
c note on this word (a 🗨 icon appears for every other reviewer) · h this word's change history
Del delete · n next flagged (across verses) · Ctrl+Z/Ctrl+Y undo/redo

⋯ Review in the toolbar carries the review layer: who you are and at which level, the sign-off ladder for the verse, every note on it, the full attributed change history, and a toggle that writes each word's last editor onto the chip as small initials.
